You know how when it’s fashion month and you sit on the couch and watch all the shows on your laptop (cause I’m not cool enough to be invited….yet….. this is me manifesting). You have your bottle of wine and are silently reciting your credit card number in your head just so you have it ready to recall at a moments notice in case there is a pre-order available on something you swooned over as it walked down the runway. No? You aren’t doing this? Just me then??
Well this, my friends, is how I ended up getting my hands on these luxurious Roman stud flats by Valentino. They say the early bird gets the worm, but they should really say “the early shopper gets the shoes”. Or at least in the case of luxury fashion they should.
I’ve learned many a hard lesson about hesitating on a coveted fashion purchase (I’m looking at you bubblegum pink Bottega Stretch Sandals). Because luxury items don’t often get produced in mass quantities. This is not ‘fast fashion’ and once they are gone, that’s it. You are doomed to spend the rest of your life wondering how great life could have been if you would have just bought the dang shoes.
So all my diligent watching paid off when on Monday, May 10th, 2021, these beauties found a forever home in my closet.
Now to justify my investment in what many fashion insiders are calling the ‘shoe of the season’, I will be wearing these shoes with pretty much everything. There are a ton of different ways that you can style these shoes so hopefully this will give you some inspiration if you decide to take the plunge and snag these or a similar pair yourself!
The first look is styled as a smart casual look. I paired them with these Frankie Shop Pants, Frankie Shop Bra Top, Zara Blouse, and chunky gold jewelry.
For my second look, I went very casual by pairing the shoes with a mint colored lounge set by Frankie Shop. I love pairing a really great pair of shoes with loungewear. It makes me feel like I actually put in effort.
The last look is the dressiest and is by far my favorite! I bought this dreamy dress from Balenciaga a few seasons ago and am totally in love with it again when styled with these shoes! Like I mentioned earlier, luxury fashion runs in seasons so this dress is no longer available unless you are able to find it somewhere secondhand (which is a great option). But the real star here is the shoes. They look great with maxi dresses of many styles! Now I just need someone to invite me to an event so I can wear this look! If you see me twirling down the grocery store aisles in this… just don’t mind me. Here are some other dresses that I think would look great with these shoes!
