True Botanicals – My Fountain of Youth

I always hear women say that they regret not taking care of their skin when they were younger. Now that I am officially over the hill, I 100% agree with this sentiment. I’m a very naturally fair skinned person who can get surprisingly tan when not being protective of my skin. I took full advantage of this in my younger years and went for the “fake bake” look when I couldn’t get access to the actual sun. Now that I am older and wiser I am trying to un-do the damage that I did when I naively thought my skin was invincible.

A few years ago I discovered True Botanicals . I had already heard of them but I was prompted to try them out because of a collaboration program that they did with Sakara Life (who will get the honor of their very own blog post soon). I have been trying to be more conscious of what I both put in and on my body and I was down to give them a try. I went to browse the site, read the product reviews, and ended up purchasing the renew pure radiance oil.

From the moment I started using it I was hooked. I followed the advice of other purchasers and incorporated this into my nighttime routine for maximum absorption. I have always used a moisturizer both in the morning and at night but I was skeptical of using an oil on my face. It just seemed contrary to everything I knew about skincare. We work so hard to get the oil off of our faces and this stuff was telling me to slather it back on. But that many positive reviews couldn’t possibly be wrong so I went with it and applied it to my just washed face. It only calls for a few drops, which went on like butter and smelled so so nice. On to bed I went.

The next morning I was expecting my face to feel and look greasy and it was amazingly quite the opposite. It was so soft! And dare I say, glowing! Not bad for day one. I decided to put this product into regular rotation and have now included the nourishing cleanser into the mix. My skin hasn’t looked and felt this good in years. I definitely have noticed a change in the smoothness/breakouts, redness, and fine lines in my face. I even see some lightening of my dark spots, and that isn’t even a listed benefit. So I’m sold. I will definitely be trying more of their products soon and will update! It’s worth mentioning that they are having a killer Mother’s Day sale right now and also have trial sizes available of their pure radiance oil so you can give it a shot without spending a ton of money up front (though a full size will last you quite some time if you only use a few drops a night). I would love to hear your comments if you give it a try!
